Multi-Day Panama Tours for Every Length of Trip

The itinerary above is our most popular multi-day adventure, but every multi-day tour we run is private and shaped around your dates — anything from a 3-day city break to a 10-day grand tour. Here is how travelers usually spend their time in Panama.

Popular Panama Itinerary Lengths

A Short Break: Panama City & the Canal

In 3 to 4 days you can cover the essentials — the Panama Canal, historic Casco Viejo, an Emberá village visit, and a jungle or waterfall day trip. Ideal for a long weekend or a cruise stopover.

The Highlights Trip: Highlands & Islands

With 5 to 7 days you add the Boquete highlands, Chiriquí, or the San Blas islands to the Panama City core. This is the sweet spot for a first full visit and our most requested length.

The Grand Tour: Coast to Coast

Seven to ten days (like the detailed itinerary above) lets you travel from the Caribbean to the Pacific — San Blas, Boquete, Bocas del Toro, beaches and rainforest — at an unhurried pace.

Private, Flexible & Planned With Locals

Every multi-day tour is private to your group and fully customizable: swap a beach day for a hike, add a night in Boquete, or start from your own arrival date. Because we are a local Panama operator, you book directly with the team that runs your trip — no overseas markup, quick answers over WhatsApp, and a 4.9-star rating from more than 300 travelers on Tripadvisor. Want a route built entirely from scratch? See our tailor-made Panama trips, or read the multi-day Panama itinerary guide for ideas.

star ratingFantastic two week tour of Panama!  - This was a fantastic tour that basically introduced us to most of the regions in Panama. The pricing was very reasonable as well. We started in Panama City (Aloft Hotel... Read more... - great place with a fantastic staff) with the iconic canal transit and boat tour to see monkeys, toucan and other birds, sloth and large iguana. The tours were wonderful and met all expectations. We then headed for Santa Fe and had a great time with the exception of Coffee Mountain Inn, who didn't provide the mud boots that we required and that they offer at no charge for the night hike. The other tours were perfect! On to Boquete which is truly a lovely place with a lot of easy access things to do. Isla Verde Hotel was a perfect choice! We enjoyed zip lining, hiking and bird watching. Our bird watching guide was so good that we got an up close look at three males and one female Resplendent Quetzal. In addition we saw so many beautiful birds it was a day we'll remember! Bocas del Toro was our last stop and unfortunately it rained the entire time so we say a pair of dolphins, saw the town and surrounding area but had to pass on the beach, which looked really nice, but not the end of the world! All in all, we had only one bad experience and I don't blame the tour group, but the Coffee Mountain Inn, who I reviewed separately. I would definitely recommend Eco Trips Panama to my friends and family. I know they would have a great trip with the best guides around.
